[ale] accessing Linux drives under Windows! acK!

VMware and its use of Samba for access to the native filesystem IMHO appears
to be the most straightforward solution to your problem, unless you can use
FAT partitions under Linux for the stuff you want to access from Win2K.  

You could also see where things are with running IE under Wine.
