I'm trying to run rdesktop as a full screen application in X with no window manager.  rdesktop requires a private colormap.  It seems that without a window manager running it can not obtain a private colormap.  Is there a way around this?

rdesktop is a X based RDP client.  Full screen X with no window manager will make it appear as a winbloze machine.  I need to provide this support for users.

More info can be found at http://www.rdesktop.org  It will only run in 8 bit mode. It will only support Windows Terminal Server 4.0.  Soon 2000.
