Is anyone successfully using this card with kernel 2.2.16?

modprobe 3c90x appears to load okay, but reports the MAC address as
00:00:00:00:00:00, and reports "No such device" when I attempt to set an IP
address or plumb up the interface.  

If I execute a 'modprobe 3c59x debug=1 options=0,,8 full_duplex=0,0,1', it
appears to see the card, but reports "using IRQ 0 may be unsuccessful", and
unfortunately there is no provision in either 3c90x.o or 3c59x.o to manually
specify an IRQ address.

Does anyone know how this can be rectified?  I know I've gotten this card to
work before under linux, unfortunately it was some time ago and I don't
remember exactly what I did.
