I finally got a boot disk going (actually ended up using zdisk cause it lets
me setup new kernels easier). I've got a patched 2.2.19 kernel that
recognizes Ultra ATA drives (a requirement for this project) that boots on
the floppy and recognized both ide drives on my test machine, /dev/hdc (the
normal one) and /dev/hdg (the Ultra ATA drive). Imagine my surprise when I
couldn't mount /dev/hdg even though the kernel shows its presense during
boot! Well I determined that zdisk quit adding hdX devices at /dev/hdf
(naturally). So... I simply did a "cp --archive /dev/hdf /dev/hdg" to get
this device present. Unfortunately this didn't cut it. Will somone in the
know of device majic please tell me how to add new ide devices under my /dev
directory?

	Many thanx!
