Last week I posted a job for a kernel hacker/device driver writer
(the job is still available).  This week we have another opening that
I thought might appeal to ALE members.

ZapMedia has an immediate opening for a Linux/Unix specialist.  Duties
will include Linux configuration and light scripting.  We need someone
to help us define the configuration and security setup of our settop
box.  You will write code to automate certain tasks, both on the
settop (and over the network) and within our development environment.
Experience with scripting languages such as perl, python, or java
needed.  Duties will also include general infrastructure support for
the development team.

ZapMedia is building a next generation internet entertainment
appliance.  It is Linux based and will be released this year in time
for Christmas.  ZapMedia is fully funded and rapidly growing (we've
gone from 15 employees to 100 since February).  We offer good salary
and benefits, including a options and a 401K plan.
