Hi all,
df gives you the size of a disk, space used, space free, etc...
I'm trying to find the amount of space used by a subdirectory
in a
filesystem. running df /var, for example, gives me info on the
root
disk, which is where var is currently located.
I am adding 1 or 2 more drives to my system and want to more
intelligently partition and mount them. In NT the properties
option
gives you the amount of space used by a directory and all of
it's
subdirectories. I just Know there is something similar for Linux:)
