[ale] OT: DSL with Telocity

OK. I understand the shielding part. But, I have both Bellsouth ADSL and
Earthlink SDSL. Both are aboveground wires. Bellsouth ADSL is much more
consistent. Covad runs the hardware for Earthlink. The tech that did my
instal mentioned that they are still having connectivity problems and the
srvice wold be up and down. But he also said it was mostly at night. Which
is when most geeks are banging at home. Bummer. I'm not real pleased with
the quality of service from Earthlink, but I needed the static IP's which
Bellsouth just won't deliver.
