You do realize that Linux treats threads as processes?  Those four 
mozilla-bin threads are all sharing the same memory space.

It also depends on what's in these four windows. :)  This first is the 
footprint with www.google.com loaded.  The second is the footprint with 
four windows with www.google.com loaded.

It takes up about eight more megs (+25%) in your case.

In return, I get a browser that's far more stable, flexible, and generally 
better.  If nothing else, Mozilla's cookie handling is schweeeet.
