I publish a free daily e-mail grants newsletter that lists the basic
contents of grant RFPs listed in the Federal Register, state registers and
foundation information. The e-mail newsletter, delivered every weekday to
over 3,500 subscribers, focuses on federal grants listed in the Federal
Register and includes requests from states and private foundations.

I am doing this because I have been bothered by the cost and delays of
various print publications in listing information that is free in the
Federal Register. I have found that by the time I get any particular report,
I have very little time to put together the proposal. I also found that if I
could get this information when it is published I would be ahead of the
game.

You will not receive any other e-mail about this.

What executive directors, development directors, grant writers and various
non-profits have to say:

"Just wanted to say "Thanks!" I must admit I was skeptical and thought
there may be some hidden costs, but this is amazing. We have already
learned of two possible funding opportunities -- and it's only been one week
since we subscribed. Your service is proving to be extremely helpful -- I
can't thank you enough."

"Just wanted to thank you for the great service. I've only been listed for a
week, and already have found enormously useful information."

"I just have to tell you - these daily reports are the best! Thank you so
much for this service......we are really fortunate to have your services."
J.G. Executive Director

"I just wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU for all the work you do
disseminating this wonderful information." K.I. Professional Education
Consultant

"I don't know if anyone has told you lately but thanks so much for doing
this. I only have one question: Why do you help everyone like this? Take
Care of Yourself," Mylinda

"Hi Abe --
Was thinking the other day how really valuable your daily messages are to us
and our clients and thought I'd take the time to send you a personal THANK
YOU. "

"Abe -- it takes a special person to provide this information free to
people. I wanted you to know it is appreciated and used. The ripple effect
of your generosity filters down to individual programs and the people they
serve. "

"Between your most excellent reports, my morning L.A. Times and my coffee,
my 'mornings' have become somewhat longer. But, glad to have all that info
back again. It is so helpful to someone just starting in the business." S.P.

"You're donating a great service, and I'm sure I speak for others when I say

"Dear Abe,
Just a Monday morning thank you for your wonderful service!"
MP Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations
"Your information is eclectic, timely and very helpful."
D. E. Director of Development

"I get a couple other grant reports listing federal funding opportunities -
ScienceWise and one other. So far, after at least 2 years of use, I've never
found anything that I could actually use in them. I very much appreciate the
additional state-by-state information that you include. It helps a lot.
Also, re: format. I VERY MUCH appreciate that you include an index of what's
included up front. That way, I can scan it and if there's nothing relevant
to my organization, I can delete the message. So many others fail to do
this. Your formatting saves me a lot of time!"
Again, thanks!
D.P. Director of Development

"I think that your service is wonderful." V.S.

"Abe, Thanks. I had not heard of Q-13 Cares and now I will be seeking an
application from them. Thanks your information helps!" E.D. Director of
Development Seattle, WA

"Want to thank you, once again, for this free service. Every once in a while
I find gems for my clients!" E.N. San Francisco

"Thanks Abe, that was good work on your part and I do appreciate you
capturing this data."

"What a wonderful idea!"

"Thanks Abe. It looks good - easy to read."

"I think this is a wonderful idea. I too am often frustrated that by the
time publications come out award opportunities are either past or too close
to do the proper work required to meet deadlines. I applaud your decision to
do a newsletter in a more timely fashion and will be applying to be
included."

"This sounds like a great public service. Please sign me up for this FREE
e-mail service. Sincerely,"
N.F. Ph.D. President & CEO

"The problem you mentioned about getting the information on new federal
grants too slow is a very real one for all sorts of different people. I like
the sound of the format you came up with and look forward to receiving
copies." D.V. Resource Analyst

"Great."
"The difficulty we have noticed with hardcopy newsletters is the preparation
time uses so much of the grant response time that often you get the
newsletter too late to do much good." J. P. Excutive Director

"I really appreciate your "digest" of items! Thank you."

"I would be interested in receiving your newsletter re: grants information.
I agree that this information needs to be disseminated much quicker than via
the printed newsletters. Thank you for taking on this task. It will truly
make my life much easier."

"Just wanted to thank you for this great service! Although I haven't hit on
The Big One quite yet, I appreciate getting the update - it is really
helpful. Thanks."

"Thank you so much for Grants Report. Not only does it allow me -- *easily*
-- to look for funding sources for clients I know about but it teaches me
every day about what our government funds -- fascinating."

"I've been meaning to write you and tell you how much I appreciate you email
list. I know it takes time and effort to produce so much information...it
has been very useful to me. Many thanks and I hope you are able to keep up
the good work." D. B. Senior Management Analyst

"I don't have any suggestions how to improve the newsletter...I find it
clear, informative, and easy to read (which are my requirements for a good
newsletter). Encouragement in this world seems a hard thing to find. But the
grant report is a wonderful tool and it is indeed a sign of support that
more people are signing up."
