I have two soundcards. One is an SB WaveEffects (ISA, PNP) and the other
is an SB Live! (PCI). I am running RH6.2, and this is the series of steps
I took:

1. Install the SBWE. Run the sound configurator in setup. Halt.
2. Install the SB Live!. Run the sound configurator in setup.
3. Look in /etc/isapnp.conf to find out what parms were set on the WE.
4. Edit /etc/conf.modules and add these lines:

alias sound-slot-1 emu10k1
options sb io=0x___ irq=_ dma=_ mpu_io=0x___

My conf.modules looks like this:

alias scsi_hostadapter ncr53c8xx
alias eth0 old_tulip
alias parport_lowlevel parport_pc
alias sound-slot-0 sb
alias sound-slot-1 emu10k1
options sound dmabuf=1
alias midi opl3
options opl3 io=0x388
options sb io=0x220 irq=5 dma=1 mpu_io=0x330

Hope this is helpful!

148 days is too long to wait for Telocity and Verizon to hook up my DSL.
