[ale] POP mail server

The sendmail log entries show a "from=" entry for each piece of mail
received and a "to=" entry for each piece delivered. Do you see a "from="
for your hotmail address?

  grep "from=" /var/log/maillog

Perhaps /usr/spool/mail ?
(where does `set | grep MAIL` say the mailboxes are?)
