[ale] e-mail followup

we had many severe routing problems with bellsouth.net  NOC at Stonemountain
this weekend.  Their router tables were corrupt causing our users to go to
never-never land.  Could this be related to sendmail having a problem?

Sorry about grammer and typos - I've got 5k + users without mail service....
