Hello,
For those who weren't at the ALE meeting last night, I
am repeating my request here. The Atlanta Linux Showcase is
looking for volunteers to help out at the show this year. The
Showcase will take place October 10-14 at the Cobb Galleria
Centre. We need volunteers all of those days and on the 9th
and 15th for setup and teardown, respectively. Volunteers will
be doing various tasks, including badge checks at conference
room doors, network setup, dispatch (answering the phone and
giving directions, times, etc), directing BoF sessions (not
moderating, just making sure people know which room to go to
and that the room has enough chairs) and various other tasks.

We are also looking for booth babes to help staff the Linux
International booth at Networld*Interop on September 26-28.
Don't let the babe part scare you off - you just need to be
cuter than I am. For this job, we ask that you prepare to
answer questions about Linux in a semi-professional manner -
no ties, but the folks coming by will be business manager
types and this presents an excellent opportunity to impress
them with the benefits and readiness of Linux.

If you are interested in helping out at either of these
events, please email me with your name, contact number, and
availability. I will do my best to find times that fit your
schedule.

My email address is volunteer at linuxshowcase.org. If you don't
have email (how are you reading this?) you can call me at
770.642.5781.

Thanks,
--
