Typically this will happen if you DON'T have modem echo turned off; the modem and getty start chatting back and forth. Using minicom try "ATE0&W". >I am trying out a new getty program and it gives me a '"id" # respawning >too fast, disabling for 5 minutes' error. Does anyone know what cuases >and/or how to fix this?
