[ale] Redoing Novell server to linux

No, the whole idea is to get away from Novell and IPX. Well, not necessarily
IPX, but mainly the Client32. It has had bugs in it from the old VLM days that
completely trash any kind of database program (ie. Foxpro, dBase, etc.). It
looses track of the filehandles that it has open. A user can completly shut
off their system, and the Novell server still shows that they have lots of
files open!

I wish I could duplicate their system first, but I don't have a spare server
exactly like the one they have. My server in my office is doing everything
they are, it's just that it is not identical hardware. I'm going to pick it up
on a Friday and with any luck, have it fully operational by 8:00am Monday. I
think I've fully researched each piece of the puzzle, but you know how that
goes, what works on one might not work on another machine.

Thanks for the response...

- Gary
