[ale] LILO Problems

Thanks to all who replied.  I fixed the problem, but not without
spending a LOT of time doing so.  In the process I streamlined my
machine somewhat.

It was mentioned that my MBR was possibly messed up.  And so it was. 
First I backed everything up to an ununsed HD.  Then dl'd dome disk
utilities from my HD manufacturer to zero the drive.  With the drive
like brand new, I installed RH6.0, then upgraded to 6.1 (since the 6.1
CD I have is the original iso Red Hat posted - which won't work very
well).  All is 99.44% well and good.  I didn't lose any of my user data.

I might need to install some applications, but I feel much better now
knowing my machine will boot off the hard drive now.
