[ale] Programs for bandwidth monitoring

Greetings, I was wondering if, since my ISP only allows a certain amount
of bandwidth to be pulled per month off my ADSL connection without
imposing surcharges, is tehre any way to effectively monitor how much
bandwidth is being used on my ADSL line?  I'd like to know this so I
know when to stop downloading stuff every month <G>
