[ale] Crisp editor?

[Nomad the Wanderer]

  We curently have a very old editor by the name of "Crisp".  We are 
gonig to have to upgrade to a newer version for y2k, not enough licenses
and such.

  Has anyone used this?  More importantly does anyone know of a better
program we can swap these users over to?  I would prefer open source or
some such where we'll have source code.
