hi, Matt,
if you wanna remove, cite the package name without .i386.rpm
Here is some info from my RH5.2 installation.
[zyu at punch zyu]$ whereis emacs
emacs: /usr/bin/emacs /usr/lib/emacs /usr/share/emacs
[zyu at punch zyu]$ whereis xemacs
xemacs: /usr/bin/xemacs /usr/lib/xemacs /usr/man/man1/xemacs
[zyu at punch zyu]$ rpm -aq|grep emacs
emacs-nox-20.3-3 # emacs without X (noX). for use on terminal
emacs-20.3-3 # common package?
emacs-X11-20.3-3 # emacs with X interface
xemacs-20.4-2 # X emacs (the real one)
[zyu at punch zyu]$ locate emacs|grep bin
/usr/bin/emacs
/usr/bin/emacs-20.3
/usr/bin/emacs-nox
/usr/bin/emacsclient
/usr/bin/xemacs
/usr/bin/xemacs-20.4
