I asked 3Com for some help with a 56K Faxmodem PCI, you might have seen
my post a couple of days ago.  This was their reply.  


Dear Bryn,
     
     Thank you for connecting with 3Com. The modem you currently have,
our 
     model number 5610, will work in Linnux. The needed drivers are not 
     included with the modem. Linnux drivers need to be written by the 
     enduser of our modems. Thank you for your interest in 3Com.
