[ale] Strage DNS problem

Under RH6.1
When I update one of the DNS table files, I execute
/etc/rc.d/init.d/named restart
I run the name service with debug 1 into a file, then I look at the file
and this is what I get:

named shutting down
shutting down; dumping zones that need it

In order to get it going again I have stop it and start again, why would
it do this ?
