Okay, here's the latest.

Returned to Slackware 3.3 due to other problems than LILO.

The entire system looks like this:
/dev/hda:	Western Digital 1.6 GB
     hda1:	Windows NT Boot (NTFS)

/dev/hdc:	Quantum Fireball 3.2GB
     hdc1:	500MB FAT16 (for sharing files between Linux/NT)
     hdc2:	2.7GB NTFS

/dev/hdd:       CD-ROM

/dev/sda:       Seagate 1.0GB
     sda1:	745MB Linux root (ext2)
     sda2:	275MG /home (ext2)

/dev/sdb:       Quantum Fireball 1.2GB
     sdb1:	160MB Swap
     sdb2:	1.1GB /aux1 (ext2)

/dev/sdc:       Iomega Zip 100

There are 80MB of RAM.  The processor is an AMD K5Pr166.  The BIOS on the
motherboard supports booting from SCSI.  From a previous configuration, I
had had NT booting from SCSI and Linux from IDE.  I am trying to reverse
that trend, so that NT boots from IDE (a success, BTW) and Linux from
SCSI.  Here is my current lilo.conf:

When I run lilo with this lilo.conf, I get the message:

Warning: /dev/sda is not on the first disk
Added Linux *
Added Test

I also tried going into the BIOS and disabling all IDE devices, and I
still get this message.  

Naturally, Linux doesn't boot.  I get LI and then it stops.

Any ideas, anyone?
