You guys are nuts. We have a free market that pays well for exceptional
talent. Just because we like free software, do not become socialists. If
somebody will pay it, you are not overpaid. Same holds true in the computer
job market. If you can add enough to a product or project to make it worth
more would you do it for less than what the job market dictates if you had
some control over it? I do not see a thing wrong with making as much as you
can as quickly as possible then moving to a Latin American beach somewhere
where the days are hot and the ladies are hotter.
BTW, compared to the rest of the world we are all over paid. Why shouldn't
our athletes be?
One other thing the strike year was '94. Your very own Braves won it all in
'95.

i remember the cancellation of the '95 world series over
money. all the ball
players were crying "boo-hoo i make 3 million a year and
need more money!"
it just goes to show that they no longer care about the
game.
