[ale] Recent influx of spam

	I don't like the idea more than anyone else... but does anyone
besides me feel that it may be time to close the ALE mailing list to
subscribed members only. In the last month we have had several cases of
spammers using the list to do their dirty work of collecting e-mail
addresses.
	I'm curious on other peoples opinions of ways we could deal with
this issue.
