[ale] low memory usage X server

I'm setting up an old 486 machine for my Mom to use for basically
sending email.  Since it's an older machine and I can add only a limited
amount of memory, I'm looking for suggestions on which X server might be
the most conservative in memory and cpu usage.  I just installed RH 5.0
and MetroX.  Came up fine, but the resolution is so low, it takes three
panes of the pager to fit Netscape.

Anyone tell me how to reconfigure MetroX?  I've always used Xfree.
