The mad wizard is right... the hardest part is choosing one. There are
more and better Thai restaurants in the Atlanta area (especially on the
NorthEast corner in the Chinatowns of Chamblee/Doraville and Gwinnett)
than there are Chinese.
I am partial to BanThai in Peachtree Corners and Siam Basil on 'Old
Norcross-Tucker Road'. The former for its Masaman and Panang Curries and
the latter for its salads. Both have better than average Tom Yum Koong
and Tom Ka Kai soups.
If you want paper rolls, the best are at a Vietnamese Restaurant called
Bihn Thuy in Doraville or is that Chamblee? Who can tell the difference?
Avoid Red Garlic on Pleasant Hill Rd at all costs -- no redeeming
features period.
'King and I' used to be very good. They had two locations one at Ansley
Mall and one across from the Brookhaven MARTA station -- but beware --
they did not take credit cards of any kind. I left my kids as collateral
while I went to find an instant banker.
For Japanese the current best seems to be Sa Kanaya...at least thats
where all the Japanese businessmen are hanging out.
