I see this a lot, especially after a run of
fsck. I never had the problem until I started using
the huge IDE drives. The <500Meg drives never gave
any trouble. I've never used SCSI in any of the Linux
machines I've used/am using, so I can't comment about
those.
And I'm not saying the drive is bad, I have a
Linux machine at work that we use as an http/ftp server
and it's been running for about a year on it's current
drive (WD 2.2 IDE), and I've seen the above error since
installation. Basically, I don't have a clue, but it
felt good to ramble on about it.
