[ale] Mouse pointer offset n increasing pixels

I;ve just got the latest X to run on my laptop.

I have 3.2 running till I upgraded from 4.1 RH to 5.0.

Now I ...finnally.... get X to run again, but now the pointer seems
screwed.

As I move the mouse down or to the right the error in postion increases.

The pointer will not move more than 1.5 inches from the bottom of the
screen
(600x400, 12.1 TFT).

The mouse fully functions, but hitting buttons is like finding secrets
in Mario Brothers.

I've tried killing gpm, no effect.

I am running 3 button emulatiom, ps2

It is a glide point.

It works fine under gpm and win95.

Searching for this problem is damn near impossible.
