[ale] Pentium Pro vs. Pentium II

	According to a Intel guy who spoke at the last AUUG meeting
	on Intels next 18month chip schedule:

	The PPro will be discontinued by 2Q98 when the Slot 2 PII come
	in to fill scale production with Cache running same speed as 
	the processor core.

	Intel acked that under non-mmx 32 bit "server" code, the PPro
	is the faster chip.  As intel wants all of the server companies
	switching to Slot 2, they will discontinue the PPro.

	Also by Q2 Intel is supposed to have 4 and 8way compatible PII's.

	FWIW, thats what he said...
