well, i found my problem .... there was this nifty little feature thingy in the BIOS settings that kinda write-protected the root/boot sector for safety precautions ... yaknow, so you don't accidentally erase it ... i jujst found it and i can PARTITION NOW!!! thanx all! --dan ----- Never mess with magic, never deal with dragons, and never fall in love.
