I have just gotten my first cup of Java and it seems a little bitter:

   - I have installed the jdk from blackdown.org, both the common files and
the static-motif files. 

   - I am able to "compile" my java code into java a class ( byte code )
file fine. 

   - I am NOT able to run the class file. Here is the error I receive:

Unable to initialize threads: cannot find class java/lang/Thread

   - I looked in my Java directory and cannot find a "lang" directory.

   What can/should I do ?

   - I am running Linux 2.0.0 with Java support compiled in
