[ale] Which OS for PPP to ISP?

While I have been running xfmail from 
http://Burka.NetVision.net.il/xfmail/xfmail.html
and found it usefull, popclient and suck sound
like a possibly better solution for me. Do you have pointers
or is it archie time?
