Bill Gates to buy Stake of a Unix Shop

Maybe last nites humor was not so far off...

Bill Gates announced last night to by a minority stake in 
UUNet Technologies(http://www.uu.net)which is our Internet access 
provider. Founded in May 1987 by Unix hackers at Falls Church, VA -
couple blocks down the street from VFO) 

UUNet is one of most expensive Internet providers headquartered in Washington
DC area(some of my friends used to get news feed to their house and
had switched to other smaller companies.)  They have been providing Internet 
access for those USENIX (to be held next week in New Orleans) attendances
who are Internet/USENET-news addicts.   AlterNet is their
flag ship commercial service. (besides their free news server INN - 
by Rick Adams (founder?))

Microsoft will hold one seat on the UUNet board of directors.
