\nSynopsis:
\n— Debian’s “preseed”, RedHat’s “kickstart”, SUSE’s “autoYAST” and similar
\nLinux based installation automaton systems are all very useful. However,
\nsetting up and maintaining the environments that enable these systems
\nto work properly can be time consuming and prone to error.
\n— Cobbler is an installation provisioning and automation system which
\nleverages these existing system tools to create a powerful installation
\nserver which allows for rapid bare-metal provisioning of a myriad of
\nLinux distributions and lesser operating systems. This presentation is
\nan opportunity to learn the basics of Cobbler and see how easy it is to
\nuse this powerful tool in your own environment.<\/p>\n

Bio:
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u201c Derek Carter (goozbach as his online friends know him) is active
\nparticipant in the Open Source community. Part-founder of two
\nLinux users groups and a former Linux instructor for Guru Labs (The
\nindustry leader in hands-on Linux training). He has taught Linux
\nclasses all over the United States and the world for such companies
\nas Red Hat, IBM, Novell, HP, Lockheed Martin and others. Derek
\nhas been actively using Linux as his primary OS since 1999. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a
\ncertified RedHat instructor and examiner. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s also a Star Wars
\ngeek who has been known to dress up as obscure characters and
\nwait in line for the premiers.<\/p>\n
