\nOrganized, introduced and presented by Jeremy Bouse,
\nwith an intro covering some typical daily use cases along
\nwith explanation of the web of trust and why we do
\nthe keysigning events themselves, <\/strong>
\n(directions link and parking notes below)<\/p>\n

Synopsis:
\n— For those who participate, the key signing party serves to confirm
\nthe identity of other PGP Key users by connecting them to a “key ring”
\nand including them in the “web of trust” needed to validate their keys,
\nsignatures and identities in the wider world.<\/p>\n

— Our ardent GPG enthusiast, keymaster Jeremy “Clortho” Bouse, will
\npresent a brief GPG\/PGP introduction and direct the key signing process
\nusing the Hash Based Method as described in
\n<\/strong>http:\/\/cryptnet.net\/fdp\/crypto\/keysigning_party\/en\/keysigning_party.html<\/a>
\nFully detailed “How To” files with shell command line examples and background

\n— Participation in the key signing requires advanced preparations,
\nincluding generating and verifying any new keys you want to have
\nsigned. The official ALE Key Signing Event has been registered on
\nthe Biglumber Key Server:<\/strong>

\n …and ALL keys that participants want to have signed must be registered

\n— The deadline for uploading your key to the Keyring is midnight,
\n(12:00am) on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 (In other words, any
\ntime _before_ Wednesday, December 11).<\/p>\n

— The final step will be to download and print out Jeremy’s FINAL key ring
\ntext file available on THURSDAY, 2013.12.12 (the day of the signing party).

\nThis link will also be announced with reminders to download on the ALE
\nmailing list. After downloading, fill in the checksum information for all
\nof the keys you have registered in the ring so you can easily confirm their
