Most of us will never be<br \/>\ninteresting targets, and while many would say we&#8217;re safe<br \/>\nbecause of that, it doesn&#8217;t hurt to help protect yourself in<br \/>\nwhatever way you can.<br \/>\n&#8212; I hope to prepare anyone looking to add a little secure<br \/>\nnetworking with advice on deploying OpenVPN in ways<br \/>\nthat help make it harder for your information stream to be<br \/>\ncaptured and sifted or otherwise subjected to unwarranted<br \/>\nand malicious access.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bio:<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8212; Brian MacLeod is a Systems Engineer at the Georgia<br \/>\nInstitute of Technology, supporting research on high<br \/>\nperformance computing resources with the Partnership<br \/>\nfor Advanced Computing Environment (PACE) team.<\/p>\n<p>============================<br \/>\nThe meeting will be held at Emory Law School in our<br \/>\nusual Gambrel Hall, room 1C venue.<br \/>\nOur meeting time frame is 7:30pm to ~9:20pm<br \/>\nDirections to Emory Law School can be found at<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/mail.ale.org\/?page_id=2\">http:\/\/ale.org\/?page_id=2<\/a><\/p>\n<p>===<br \/>\n**An important note that this will very likely be the last<br \/>\ntime we will be able to host an ALE Central Meeting or<br \/>\nspecial event at this venue. Emory Law School&#8217;s newest<br \/>\nfacilities management has decided to end the good will<br \/>\npolicy of support for the wider local community and will<br \/>\nnow be restricting facility use to Law School activities<br \/>\nexclusively.<\/p>\n<p>Emory Law School, through the ongoing support and<br \/>\ninvolvement of ALE member Ben Chapman in their IT<br \/>\ndepartment, has been generously providing ALE with<br \/>\nunused classroom space for meetings and special<br \/>\nevents for more than ten years.
