The Keys to Using SSH<\/font>
\nwith David Tomaschik <\/strong><\/p>\n

Synopsis:
\n— The Secure Shell, or SSH, is a powerful communications tool
\nmost often used for securely accessing a command-line session
\non a remote system. As essential as that functionality is, there is
\nmuch more to SSH than that. This talk will introduce SSH, and
\ndiscuss integral applications including secure file transfer,
\naccessing services behind a firewall, and running graphical
\napplications software remotely. Specific topics include:
\n– Starting with SSH
\n– SSH Keys
\n– Secure File Copying (SCP)
\n– Port Forwarding
\n– X11 Forwarding
\n– Advanced SSH options and functions<\/p>\n

Bio:
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u201c David is a system administrator and Drupal developer at
\nKennesaw State University. Additionally, he is currently
\npursuing a M.S. in Information Security from Georgia Tech.
\nWhen he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s not at the computer (a rare event), he enjoys
\nsci-fi books and movies and amateur photography.<\/p>\n

\non Sept. 8th, though to better address the experienced
\nALE Central audience some advanced topics are being
