Synopsis:
\n\u00e2\u20ac\u201c Drupal is a freely distributable open source Content Management
\nSystem used for building everything from basic websites to web
\napplications and social media sites. Drupal is scalable and can
\nbe tailored to meet many needs, from small personal sites to
\nsites that get millions of hits a day. This presentation will cover
\neverything from choosing a hosting platform to building content
\nto utilizing the power of community contributed modules, with
\nspecific topics including:
\n– Why is Drupal the right choice?
\n– Choosing a hosting platform
\n– Initial installation and configuration
\n– Building basic content
\n– Managing themes, blocks, and other features
\n– The power of “contrib” (community-contributed modules)
\n– An overview of custom development
\n– How to run multiple sites from one codebase<\/p>\n

Bio:
\n— David is a system administrator and Drupal developer at Kennesaw
\nState University. Additionally, he is currently pursuing a M.S. in
\nInformation Security from Georgia Tech. When he’s not at the computer
\n(a rare event), he enjoys sci-fi books and movies and amateur
\nphotography.<\/p>\n

\nThe meeting will be held at Emory Law School in our
\nusual Gambrel Hall, room 1C venue.
\nOur meeting time frame is 7:30pm to ~9:30pm
