\nFreeIT Athens
\nBuild Party Road Trip<\/font>
\non Saturday, July 18th, 10:30 am to 7:30 pm

\n… as a community event sponsored by …
\nAtlanta Linux Enthusiasts & the
\nUbuntu Georgia LoCO<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

— Our plan is to travel as a carpool caravan to the FreeIT
\nfacilities in Athens, Georgia and spend the afternoon building,
\nrepairing, assembling and installing Linux computer systems
\nthat will be donated to regional educational institutions,
\nnon profit groups and community members in need.<\/p>\n

— To facilitate delivery of donated equipment and car
\npooling, the Road Trip caravan to FreeIT Athens will
\ncongregate at the Fry’s parking lot (S.W. corner) near
\nI-85 and Pleasant Hill road, adjacent to the Gwinnett
\nPlace Mall. Volunteers should arrive between 10:00am
\nand 10:30am as we hope to depart by 10:45am and
\narrive at FreeIT in Athens by about Noon. Plans are
\nto work at FreeIT until about 6:00pm, then drive out
\nto arrive back at Frys by 7:30pm.<\/p>\n

— NOTE: Additional equipment donations will be
\naccepted in the Frys parking lot (S.W. corner) from
\n10:00am until departure time. Please see the FreeIT
\ndonations page<\/a> for specifics. <\/p>\n

— Volunteers can bring their own lunch or participate in
\na group lunch order; collections will be taken and food
\nordered upon arrival at FreeIT Athens. Donations of frosty
\nbeverages for the afternoon will also be most welcome.
\nDinner and post-road-trip frivolities at an establishment
\nin the vicinity of Gwinnett Mall may ensue as participating
\nvolunteers are motivated.<\/p>\n

— All volunteers and participants are, of course, welcome
\nto make their own travel arrangements to FreeIT Athens
\nas they see fit, though we request that you still RSVP to
\nhelp us better coordinate the event effort.<\/p>\n
